“The wild side of Mont Blanc ”

La Thuile is a typical mountain village set in a large basin and surrounded by high mountains and extensive glaciers.
If the postcards are boring you and your body loves to immerse itself in the unspoilt nature, there is a side of Mont Blanc that is right for you, that of La Thuile: 1450 meters above sea level, just over 800 inhabitants, pure air and never seen colors. In addition to Mont Blanc there is the Rutor massif, which with its famous glacier lights up the whole valley and offers its guests a breathtaking view. This place has an admirable natural and scenic heritage, but it is also an exception from a historical point of view, because since prehistoric times it has been a transit place connecting Italy and France. La Thuile also has a rich mining past, perfectly visible today. To be discovered thanks to pre-established itineraries. In winter this magnificent place offers unique emotions to lovers of winter sports thanks to its wide range of activities. First of all its vast international ski area Espace San Bernardo, is everything a ski lover could wish for: 152 kilometers of slopes of all levels that allow skiing between Italy and France. For the more intrepid guests it is possible to venture into different activities: ski mountaineering, freeride, heliski, snowkite and climbing on a magnificent icefall that will make you feel like in an adventure movie. Finally, those who prefer a slower course can try a walk with snowshoes or cross-country skiing.
