Monte Rosa

Discover Monte Rosa and its valleys

A secret to reveal

” Vibrant and intense territories ”

Monte Rosa and its valleys are territories to live and discover through their culture, their table and enjoying moments of relaxation and adventure. The 4 valleys of Monte Rosa in the Aosta Valley are: the Val d’Ayas, Valle di Gressoney  and Valle di Champorcher. In these charming mountain villages, time seems to slow down, following the gentle rhythm of the seasons.
Champorcher is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Mont Avic Natural Park, where breathtaking landscapes unfold among beautiful alpine lakes, crystal-clear waters, ancient forests, and majestic mountain peaks.
Gressoney is an authentic, human-scale paradise, a peaceful Alpine retreat waiting to be discovered through its unspoiled natural beauty and the rich heritage of its remarkable local culture.
It is the unique Walser culture that connects both Ayas and Gressoney, two destinations renowned for their pristine landscapes and picturesque villages featuring distinctive traditional Alpine architecture. Eight centuries ago, representatives of the Germanic people, the Walser   moved from the Valais region. Until today, local people keep their traditions: speaking in an ancient Germanic dialect almost incomprehensible to others, dressing  in national costumes and living in houses in the style of “stadel”.
There are countless experiences to enjoy in this beautiful corner of the world.
Across these valleys, rich in diverse and spectacular landscapes, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities while staying immersed in breathtaking, unspoiled nature. First of all, alpine skiing and snowboarding, with more than 200 km of slopes in a single area, the Monte Rosa Ski. But you can also venture on a snowshoe hike in the woods or a challenge with friends on the cross-country trails. For the more intrepid it is also possible to practice freeride and ski mountaineering.
